Today one of our stories was about a man who died ... a police chief and well known in the community ...
I wrote the story, and the TRT or total run time of the piece was 30 seconds. Yes, 30 seconds.
Made me stop and think about what life is worth. 30 seconds?
A whole life amounts to what? 30 seconds ... covering how old you were when you died, your name, your parents, and where the funeral and visitation will be ... 30 seconds total.
Is that what I want my life to add up to? 30 seconds or less?
No.
I guess to make it worth more than that ... you have to leave a legacy in the hearts and minds of the friends and family you have here on earth.
That is how my life will amount to more than 30 seconds.
